Get ready, get set, and sign up for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Mile High Amazing Race!
The Mile High Amazing Race goes beyond just simply solving the clues; it is also a test of strategy. Successful teams must carefully plot the most efficient route after they gather pertinent information. The race takes place in downtown Denver and the first team to cross the finish line doesn’t necessarily guarantee a win. Geographical logistics, time constraints, checkpoint challenges, detours and roadblocks are all important factors that are considered in the race to the finish line.
Teams are challenged to travel from checkpoint to checkpoint and conquer many challenges, detours and roadblocks along the way. They may choose to hop on the 16th Street Shuttle to gather the next clue or they may opt for taking the challenge of eating a delicacy from a foreign country. How about kayaking down the Platte River? Mental challenges? Strategic challenges? Who knows! We're not telling. There's only one way to find out - sign up for the event on June 12th, 2010. The race takes place from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a post-race party afterwards from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Registration Fees:
$250 per team ($62.50/person)*Each team is required to raise a minimum of $400 in addition to their registration fee before the day of the event. If the minimum fund-raising amount of $400 is not raised by the event date, the credit card used to register the team will be charged for the remainder of the amount due.
Age Restrictions:
Individuals 10 years old and up are invited to participate in the Mile High Amazing Race. We recommend considering the amount of activity required for the event when planning your team. The event includes both mental and physical challenges and in order to ensure that everyone has a great time, we request that all participants consider their ability level before registering.
Refund Policy:
No refunds of registration fees or donations will be given for any reason.
